Daniela Papadia, from Palermo, is a video-artist and a painter. For years, she has been carrying our artistic research in the fields of technological avant-garde and manual skills. At the center of this search there is the human being, a suspended identity that is continuously put into discussion. Her characters live in worlds that are deformed by dynamic tensions, situations in which it seems impossible to keep individual and collective trajectories under control. Between technological dreams and material realities, the work of Daniela Papadia provides us with a new sense of depth related to a never-ending search about contemporary identity. The exhibition features a wide collection of works that illustrate the artist’s development, and that are presented in three complementary sections: Sospesi (Suspended), Inside Me, Save My Name, Profughi d’identità (identity refugees).
